New Studio

Spent the last few days relocating my studio space. this is probably the tidiest it will look for the next year, so here's pics;

started another two pics after a wandering head delayed sleep. a little tree headed boy was creeping around my room last night, up to all notions of mischievous, no doubt. i set about at once to expose his conspirings and to find the meanings of his magics...



really wish my brain could focus on one thing at a time. paintings in the works;

and i have it in my mind to at some point collate sums of the following assortment into a form or two of successive spined assemblage.


it'd be swell if someone paid me to do this stuff...or at least tell me what it is i'm doing...

the workspace

a friend will be helping me build a desk for my studio sometime soon. in the meantime a structure of undefinable sorts has been assembling itself in its place. i'm growing rather fond of it and only occasionally think i should perhaps be doing something.....else. so far consists of various multi-colored polystyrene blocks, a few lengths of mdf, a wood-work bench, a handful of cardboard boxes and anything else lying around in arms reach. i'm pretty sure i've put more time and thought into assembling this ever-growing organism than any painting or drawing i've done in about a month.

Settling in for hibernation

i've spent most of the day turning my bedroom into a study. both as a money saving initiative by creating homely comfort, thus saving on cafe expenses, and also inspired by visit to a friend's most enviable work space. it's still minus the all important desk, but i hope to throw one together later in the week. i haven't, as yet, decided where it is i plan on sleeping, but that is a trivial matter.

also doing some actual work. restarted a painting i'd thrown myself on for a live show with the ever-mourned Green Lights last year. hoping it will turn out nicely. not too sure of the colour though.

and this one. though all i seem to be doing is putting on more coats of only the yellowist yellow...

and this little bugger was driving me crazy all night. i swear he was following me most of the day too...i think he may simply be lonely.
