This Must Be The Place

seemingly random things i'm working on;

sometimes meaningless yet meticiluous detail can be somewhat therapeutic. sometimes i just wish it was finished.

The home of Chong Gon Byun. I love many things about this.

Market Sales and HWCH

I'll be doing some markets in Dublin in the coming weeks, Kit 'n' Caboodle on Sept 25th (THIS MARKET HAS BEEN CANCELLED) and the Crafty Market on the 26th and maybe a few more if i can squeeze them in. I'm moving house soon, down to Cork, so i'll be doing a serious clearing out of the studio. If you want to get any drawings or paintings, now's a good time (pre-Xmas buys, hmm!). I'll be easily negotiable. Otherwise a lot of things are likely to be packed away in some attic and forgotten about and i'd rather they go to someone who has space to appreciate them.

All sorts of busy these days. the Dirty Fabulous sibling type ladies will be opening again soon, DF2.0, so there's all sorts of activity going on to get things sorted for that (there are several sowing machines whirring in another room as i type), which means web duties for me;

Dublin band, and good friends, Bouts will be playing Hard Working Class Heroes next month. I'll be giving them a hand on the night, which I'm pretty excited about. It's always a good weekend, with loads of great bands. It's been a while since i've been faced with that age old question; strat or tele?

Oh, and Surnburnt Jets are playing the Kill Krinle Club album launch this Friday. Will be popping over to that between practice sessions.

Also working on new stuff, but what with moving and everything else, I doubt I'll have time putting things online. By the way, if anyone wants to come round and clear out of my studio, you're more than welcome!

Now, if only I could focus and stop playing in photoshop...

In all my unknowing...

this is possibly one of my favourite things i've made recently...

i've been having great fun lately painting and sanding and hammering and painting random bits of wood. Working on a little series of pieces, image and text work.

Also I've put whole bunch of listings on Etsy and will hopefully get a good bit more up during the week, so have a lookie.

Lastly, Saw Whet, Down South. Listen here. Nice stuff :)

Gulf Fund Sale

This weeks donation to the Gulf Restoration Network is a watercolour, on A4 recycled, carbon neutral paper. All money offered goes straight to aid recovery from the BP spill.

For details of the sale, read here.

Also, taking part in a fund-raising exhibition on Saturday in the Centre for Creative Practices, 15 Pembroke Street Lower, Dublin; info here. 18 artists taking part, including music, food and wine.
Its just a one day event, so if you could make it down, would be great :)

Thank you!
