distractions

been a little distracted recently. not sure why. i'm going to blame this homeopathic remedy i'm on. i've been disturbed by blank canvases. as in "they'll only get worse from here on out".

but i am happy with this one. despite appearances, i do always try to paint something beautiful. sometimes i think i manage it... though i do have an odd view of beauty...

just to show i've not gone completely crazy, i have started and am working on a new painting.

lots of little drawings forming lately revolving around the VoxAc30 (a valve guitar amp). i've a desire to do a series of illustrations involving random trivial objects that for some reason hold some special meaning to me. it begins with vox. this is just the little sketch that gave me the idea;

i like how this one is turning out. i've a few others which aren't working so well and may have to be begun again.... but that's ok. the more layers of paint, the more texturely fun.

been a while since posted. happy new years blogland. have lots of little things to post, but haven't anything scanned or photoed...photod?...photo'd..... but here's a pic which recently found a new home somewhere in nigeria...i think...
