Jaunty Stuff

Usually when I'm doing anything involving wood or working on theatre sets it tends to be in the company of the awesome Mr Harrison, who has started to sell his own wares as Jaunty Stuff. We share a similar appreciation for wood and old things. He also has a Facebook page. Like it.

Added a few links to the "friends" section, to your left, worth checking out, including kaiser caimo's blog. I particularly like the recent posts about destruction as part of artistic process.

Little creases and folds

Hello blog reading folks. My humble apologies for my lack of input to webland. As well as being a little too busy to work on anything of my own lately, I've also fancied a break from blogging, I hope you don't mind. Here's some images from the grounds of Glaslough's Leslie Castle, which I thought were nice. And my feet being swallowed by some long nosed tree demon.

We found a cygnet by the lake. Apologies to those who don't share my appreciation for the beauty of nature, beyond the living.

This week I am attempting to read Foucault. Wish me luck.

Check out the gaff

I haven't got a whole pile of finished work to show at the minute. It appears to be wedding season, so have been a little pre-occupied, hence the quiet blog. So, in the mean time, here's some photos from my sister's home. Sister Caroline of Dirty Fabulous lives with her handsome man Peter MacCann of No Fixed Abode. Both collectors, and often renovators, of vintage and retro furniture and art. They has some serious style. The harmonium is my personal favourite, always good for a pirate song or two.
